The Device

Otricath

Otricath is a 3-part catheter that uses a novel therapeutic strategy to deliver therapeagents in a closed loop, preventing the circulation of toxic agents (i.e. chemotherapy) throughout the body.

  • The infusion catheter pushes medicine into the body.

  • A distal balloon inflates to occlude the vein and direct the countervailing flow of drugs.

  • The central catheter monitors pressure and keeps the vein open.

  • The suction catheter pulls medicine out of the body.

  • A balloon (B) occludes the vein and prevents medicine from escaping to other parts of the body.
